A descendant of the illustrious Kaneshiro line, Otsu came to Taiyo Wangetsu long before the school opened its doors. She was there when the school was built and when it first opened its doors. A singer in the local town, she became well-acquainted with many of the first students, of whom quite a few became her fans.

However, she seems a lonely woman and rarely known to be cheerful off the stage. Her face is always painted white and her lips adorned with plum gloss. Because of this and her eternal melancholy, many have come to refer to her as the 'lovely ghost'.
