Old men shrouded in mystery seem to permeate every corner of the world. Vishtaspa is one such legendary fossil, supposedly an Aryan but possessed of a natural sense which makes him fall in line with the Vinar more than any other group. Moreover, he appears far older than any Aryan of the modern day, and speaks in an accent which is far departed from the regular dialects of Saptha or Vinnan.

He currently serves as a member of the Beggar's Clan in Apep, and once was an advisor to the chieftain of that then-beautiful city. Sadly, the city has fallen on hard times, and those good men of yesteryear now slink in the shadows, awaiting a time when glory may be reclaimed. Vishtaspa is one such man.

Aside, there are legends of a Vishtaspa in Arya who was the last Satraja — the last True King. Whether or not this Vishtaspa and that one are the same is anyone's guess.
